Sian FKP 37 takes design inspiration from iconic Countach
In the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Lamborghini company has revealed its first super capacitor-based hybrid V12 engine Lamborghini Supercar. The name of this new car is Sian FKP 37. It will be the first-ever electrified hybrid Lamborghini super sports car.
Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 pays tribute to Ferdinand K Piech. Born in 1937, Ferdinand Karl Piëch played a significant role in the acquisition of Automobili Lamborghini in 1998 by Audi AG, owned by Volkswagen Group, of which he was chairman of the executive board from 1993 to 2002.
Engine, Dynamics, Power:
Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 is powered by SVJ sourced 6.5-liter V12, 60°, MPI (Multi-Point Injection) engine paired with the 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain. It gives an immediate and better performance during acceleration and gear shifting. This system gives 808 horse-power at 8500 rpm, 720 Nm of torque, which makes it possible to reach 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds! Sian FKP 37 is the fastest Lamborghini car from the company which can reach a top speed of over 350 km/h (217 mph).
Sian FKP 37 comes with so many technological advancements. It has a 34 kg supercapacitor system which is 3 times more powerful than similar-sized batteries. This low weight gives an appealing weight-to-power ratio of 1.0 kg/bhp. The braking system also works to completely charge the supercapacitor every time it brakes. The stored energy provides an instant boost of up to 130 Km/h making it 10% faster. The electric motor disconnects past 130 Km/h and the powertrain completely takes over.
The car has ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) gearbox with 7 speeds, shifting characteristics depending on drive select mode, the electric motor works during the shifting, and as a boost.
Design And Looks: Beautiful!!
The Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 design takes place inspiration from the old iconic Countach model. The Lamborghini Countach was designed by Paolo Stanzani around 1972.
With sharp lines, aerodynamic elegance, and an unmistakable silhouette, the Sian look super bold and beautiful. It has a carbon-fiber body with angular design elements intact. The air inlets sport the iconic Lamborghini Y-shaped curtains. The interiors are superb and give the best driving experience.
The hood is sculpted with diagonal lines. There is a carbon-fiber splitter at the lower section of the front with Y-shaped headlights that come together to give a very aggressive stance.
Though Countach elements are quite apparent at the rear of the Sian, the face borrows cues from the Lamborghini Veneno, especially the carbon fiber headlamp assembly which has been stacked vertically and the nose-diving down.
Price & Availability:
There are only 63 copies slated for production. The price of Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 is $3.6 million. Each example cost the buyer over 2 million euros plus taxes. Each Sian is already sold, but you can at least see the ultra-exclusive hypercar starting September 12 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Each of the cars will be unique as the buyers get to work with the Ad Personam team to customize the cars.
